Finish Line Binderies Shines at the 2008 PIAG Print Excellence Competition

Finish Line Marketing

Finish Line Binderies is proud to highlight three esteemed awards that our Atlanta facility was presented with at this year's Georgia Printing Show. This was the first time that our facility submitted entries to the PIAG event and we received more than we could have imagined. In this year's show there were 1,135 entries and the judges recognized us as one of Georgia's finest trade binderies.

Our first award was the Best of Category award for our Humalog Wire-O project (pictured in middle). This project called for die cutting of the tabs and converting the back cover into a pocket, collating, punching, Wire-O Binding, three-hole drilling, and a single sheet insert in the back pocket. This book touches upon all that we are able to seamlessly deliver to our customers with the quality they demand. Finish Line Binderies was the only Trade Bindery to win a Best of Category.

The next two awards were given as an Awards of Excellence. The first project was the Deceptively Delicious Cook Book (pictured on right) also highlighted previously in a Joe's Pick of the Month. This project demanded a new service that the Finish Line Binderies Atlanta plant had not previously performed. The book was a hard cover, cased in Wire-O project. The customer supplied us with litho wraps and text, and we took it from there. This project was a huge hit for our customer.

The last project was the Bank of America book (pictured on left), which also won an Award of Excellence. This project showcased how Finish Line Binderies can handle much more than just binding. This was not your ordinary Wire-O project. This project called for a dual flip chart on the inside pages. We first had to die cut the tabs. Then we collated, punched, bust cut the charts apart, and Wire-O bound the piece. Again, our customer was able to send us flat press sheets, and we took it all from there.

Winning these awards is such an accomplishment for Finish Line Binderies. Again Finish Line was the only trade bindery to win a Best of Category and also took home the most awards out of the entire trade bindery group. Our goal for submitting awards is to prove that we not only produce quality examples, but that we can produce award winning quality pieces as judged by our peers. Let Finish Line Binderies partner with you on your next project to create your next award winner.
